We provide Martial Arts Training in the art of American Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu.
Jujitsu is a Japanese Samurai based fighting art. We are registered with the American Federation of Jujitsu and members of the Gospel Martial Arts Union and the International Combat Martial Arts Union. The art contains both standing and ground techniques. It is based on "true combat tactics" so it encompasses all styles of techniques. In Japanese "Ju" means "soft or gentle" and "Jitsu" means "art or technique". So Jujitsu translates to the "Gentle Art".
HISTORICALLY  Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu is sometimes referred to as the "School of the Willow Spirit (or Heart)". It is presumably founded by Akiyama Shirobei Yoshitoki, a physician from Nagasaki, is one of the Edo-period jujitsu schools that is best known here in the West. This style or ryu dates back to before 1671.

We also provide Martial Arts Training in the art of TaeKwonDo.
TaeKwonDo is a Korean Martial Art and the National Sport of South Korea. It is the world's most popular martial art in terms of number of practitioners. Sparring and Forms (poomse) are official Olympic sporting events. We are aligned with USA TaeKwonDo under the World TaeKwonDo Federation. In Korean "Tae" means "foot"; "Kwon" means "fist"; and "Do" means "way". So TaeKwonDo is loosely translated as "the way of the foot and fist"
Traditional TaeKwonDo is typically not competition-oriented but stems from military roots with great emphasis on offense. Modern TaeKwonDo, on the other hand, tends to emphasize control and self-defense.

We have developed a self protection program called Be A.L.E.R.T.
